Valley Concrete & Redwood, like many new companies, started in a room in a house. The company continued to grow quickly in its first few years of inception, and quickly outgrew the home office in which it was founded.
In 1983, Valley Concrete & Redwood opened a corporate yard located in Campbell, California on Railway Avenue. After establishing the new location, Valley Concrete & Redwood started after city improvement work, concentrating primarily on the City of San Jose and Santa Clara. The company continued it phenomenal growth during this period, and had approximately 12 employees in 1986. Nick realized that Valley Concrete & Redwood had become so large, he would need help managing it. Shortly thereafter, he hired a general office manager.
By 1990, Valley Concrete & Redwood had grown to over 20 employees and 12 pieces of heavy equipment.
In 1991, Valley Concrete & Redwood incorporated and became known by the DBA of Valley Concrete, Inc.
1992 brought on another major change. Valley Concrete, Inc. had outgrown its Campbell yard. That same year the company moved to its present location at 1020 Ruff Drive in San Jose (right next to the San Jose Airport). The property that Valley Concrete now rests on was owned by Nick's parents in the 1940's and 1950's.
Through the years, Valley Concrete, Inc. has continued to grow and meet the residential concrete needs of an ever increasing South Bay population.
Today, we are considered by many to be the premier residential
concrete company in the South Bay and Triv-Valley areas. We now
have over 50 employees and run approximately 30 pieces of heavy
equipment and vehicles.
